Meet the new addition to the **McMullin** Family!!

baby #3

Well…here HE or SHE is!! We had our first OB appointment today and everything went well! We had to do all the paperwork and initial questions and then we got down to business. I was given an ultrasound!!!! I found out quite early when I was pregnant so they wanted to make sure I wasn't farther along than what I thought so they sent me into the ultrasound room :) This office does this pretty routinely anyway, but because we switched doctors I didn’t know this…my other doctor is closing her office :(
We weren't able to hear the heartbeat today, but the ultrasound was even better to connect to the baby! The heartbeat was 139 BPM today...we'll see if it speeds up or not! Both Johnathon and Karson's heartbeats were always in the 150's-160's so I keep getting told this is a girl...LOL guess we'll find out in May :)

I am sooo excited and blessed to be carrying another child! I do finally feel pregnant!! I’ve never had the morning sickness for any of my children so I always go the first few weeks not really thinking it’s real because I have no “symptoms” of pregnancy, but now that I’ve been to the doctor and now I got to meet my new son or daughter for the first time this has really sunk in!!! I can’t believe in about 7 months we will have another precious child in our lives. This is one of the greatest blessings I have received and I can’t thank God enough for what he has done for my family!!!

Rice Krispies!!!

Tonight we made rice krispy treats with the boYs so that they could take them to their Valentine’s Party! They had a lot of fun stirring the marshmallow mixture and putting together all the ingredients to make the final project! You would think that this would be more of a “girl” project, but J and Karson have TONS of fun doing things like this! This is just helping to shape them into the little helpers that I need around the house! They love to watch what’s going on and J asks to help more often than Karson because of age, but they are such a blast :) I love incorporating cooking and cleaning into their routines so that they will know all of the different things that Mike and I do around the house and that too they will remember some of these little things and appreciate the times we have spent together :)
I LOVE my liFe!!

Expecting Baby #3!!!!

Mike and I found out on January 29th that we are expecting our 3rd child! This is very unexpected to us since we were planning on trying for #3 this summer! For me, I have to have everything planned down to the wire and I think this might be why God decided he would let our 3rd child come early :)

Two days prior to finding out about my pregnancy I went and got my hair colored. I choose an all brown color and for some reason my hair turned half red, half brown!! Weird I know!! Not thinking anything of it, I simply said I would call to have it redone :) The next night we all went to my mother.in.laws house to visit since Karrie was in town with her boYs and because we hadn’t seen Kathy or Ron in awhile. When Karrie looked at my hair she said “you’re not pregnant are you??” I said NO!! We aren’t even trying!! I left that night with that comment pondering in my head to the point of “Oh My Gosh….what if I am??” I went to work the next morning with it still bothering me and told my co-workers about it! They thought that couldn’t be, but if it bothered me so much to go buy a test. Oh yeah…I was on the pill!!

After work that’s exactly what I did! I bought a couple tests and simply thought, “Well, this will come up negative and reassure me that everything’s fine!” What I didn’t expect is that the line was starting to appear to say I was pregnant! Let me tell you what a HUGE SHOCK that was!! Mike thought that since the line was really faint that I wasn’t pregnant, but I told him you can’t have a false positive! I went to the doctor to get confirmation, and they told me without a doubt I was pregnant and that I was early in the pregnancy!!

I am due October 11th, 2009!! This is about 6 months earlier than “planned”, but God wants us to have this baby earlier and for that I am sooo excited and honored to be pregnant! Knowing that I am carrying OUR child is simply aMaZinG and I cannot put into words everything that I am feeling!!

Johnathon understands what’s going on but Karson just gives me the deer in the headlight look :) I still am in shock and I don’t think it will absolutely hit me until we go to the doctor on February 25th!! I just hope that we will be able to hear the heartbeat! Life is going to become quite interesting and that much more busy, but I am sooo ready and excited to have another baby :)

Karson in his BiG BoY bed!!!

A couple days ago we decided that it was time to get Karson is very own BiG BoY bed!! He’s been playing on Johnathon’s bed and laying in it showing huge interest in getting his own! So, we went out and looked for a bed that would be suitable for him :) We found one and spent a whole night putting it together for him! He had fun handing us the tools that we needed to put the bed together. We got it all together and had some fun playing in his new bed!DSCN1840

alright…time for you to go! I need my sleep!!

I can’t believe how big he is getting! It seems seriously like yesterday that he was just about to be born and that he was the smallest thing ever! Now he’s running around and doing his own thing being Mr. Independent. It makes me sooo sad!! I want to cherish everyone of these single moments and never take for granted what God has given me!! I am truly blessed!!
